Best Practices

Working with Vulnerable Communities

“If you desire to have a positive impact in a community, it is critical that you take a long-term view in your planning. Involve and listen to members of the community. Strong relationships are built on a foundation of trust, and that takes time.”

In this chapter, EF’s Director, Alejandro Medina Fuentes, shares the three most significant lessons he and his team have learned about engaging with the local community to build a successful program.
