With funding from the Yale University Jackson School of Global Affairs, we conducted field research for three case studies in 2019. These studies aimed to capture the current context of climbing in three different stages of development, using qualitative interview-based research methods to record the perspectives of local climbing communities. Our lessons learned on the economic, social, and environmental ripple effects of climbing shape our programs to this day. Please feel free to read the studies below, and reach out to info@globalclimbing.org with any questions.
