Outdoor photographer, climber, surfer, and stand up paddle athlete Gayatri Juvekar combines her frames of the natural world with aesthetics. What she calls as her home, is the great outdoors. Whether it’s high altitude mountains or the southernmost coasts. As a photographer, an athlete, an environmentalist, and as a human being, she is constantly grateful for being able to experience the rocks and the oceans in the deepest sense. Documenting climbing and surfing has been a big part of her life since the last few years. She’s a self-taught photographer and most of her work focuses on extreme sports and the environment. Being a climber herself, she loves learning more about climbing gear and various techniques involved in the whole process. She is the founder of BALANCE magazine, an extreme sports magazine focused on the sports and athletes involved in it. Gayatri hopes to document the gradually growing climbing scene in India along with GCI and contribute to the organization .
