Mammut, Sterling Rope, and Brooklyn Boulders collectively donated more than $4,000 of climbing gear to the Kenyan climbing community this year through our Gear Distribution Program. The Global Climbing Initiative’s Gear Distribution Project works with brands and gyms to distribute new and like-new gear to communities with significant access barriers—particularly those in countries where climbing gear is hardly available for purchase at all.

We are thrilled to report that we have received over $20,000 worth of donations so far this year: climbing shoes, ice boots, harnesses, ropes, carabiners, chalk bags, sleeping bags, outdoor clothing, and more all headed to climbing communities around the globe.

If you represent a climbing community outside of the US lacking access to gear,

please fill out this form. Our operations are still small, so we might not be able to help immediately, but we’d love to keep you in mind for future opportunities and communicate your needs to our industry partners.

If you represent a brand or gym that may be able to donate gear,

please reach out to Nicki at engagement@globalclimbing.org

If you are a climber traveling internationally and willing to donate luggage space,

please email Dani at geardistribution@globalclimbing.org

If you would like to donate funds or airline credit/miles to support gear distribution,

please contact Veronica at donors@globalclimbing.org
