Gear Distribution Program

In many countries, climbing gear is unavailable or unaffordable — a barrier that shapes who can climb and how local communities grow.

Since 2022, we have donated more than $90,000 of equipment to 33 climbing communities around the world.

Our Gear Distribution Program supports climbing organizations that are:

• Locally led and deeply connected to their community

• Outside the continental U.S. (or represent a Native American community)

• Working to create positive economic, social, or environmental impact in their community through climbing

• Face major challenges accessing essential safety gear

Additionally, applicant eligibility is subject to global compliance and risk considerations.

Our next annual gear distribution cycle will take place in April 2027

Gear Timeline
